Violet Finn

Violet Finn is a fictional character on General Hospital. Violet is the daughter of Dr. Hamilton Finn and his ex-fiancée Hayden Barnes.

Casting[]

Jophielle Love was cast to play Violet Finn the daughter of Hamilton Finn and Hayden Barnes replacing Coby Ryan McLaughlin as Hank Archer aka "Shiloh" after the character's death.

Jophielle is an actress, model, and acrobat who has starred in commercials like CitiBank and TV shows like Grey's Anatomy. She also played in the award-winning short film Rose. She is represented by Paradigm, and Bold Talent, and managed by KD Talents.

Jophielle is also a talented little singer and songwriter.

She comes from a family of performers. Her parents Karine Mauffrey and Jade Kindar-Martin are former Cirque du Soleil performers and now stunt performers. Her brothers, Raphael Luce and Gabriel Sky are also actors and stunt performers. Raphael Luce is known for playing Young Henry Creel / 001 / Vecna in Stranger Things.

Jophielle exited on October 21, 2024 when her character moved to be with her father in Seattle before being since replaced by Lily Fisher as Georgie Spinelli, Gary James Fuller as James Scorpio, Asher Antonyzyn as Danny Morgan, Cosette Abinante as Scout Quartermaine, Ava and Grace Scarola as Avery Jerome-Corinthos, Alley Mills as Heather Webber before the character left town, Judy Kain as Elaine Smith before her storyline ended, Carlo Rota as Jenz Sidwell before the character ran off and fled Port Charles, Jens Austin Astrup as Kai Taylor, and Jequan Jackson as Quinn Grant.

Actress Meg Donnelly will later appear as adult Violet in dream and on General Hospital Beyond.

Background[]

In May 2017, Finn and Hayden suspect that someone is tampering with his drug results so they switch it with Hayden's sample as they wanted to see if it still came out positive, which it did. But something else came out positive and Griffin tells them that Hayden is pregnant. After finding out, Hayden wasn't sure she wanted to be a mom and Finn told her he would support her in whatever she decided.

Eventually, with Finn's support, she decided to keep the baby. Hayden and Finn have also expressed that they love each other and have planned to move in together to become a family with the baby.

When Hayden found out she was pregnant, she mentioned that the baby had to have been conceived two months prior, making Violet Finn due in November of 2017.

In June, after Hayden throws up in front of Elizabeth Webber and Jake Spencer, Elizabeth guesses that she's pregnant and Hayden confirms it. Days later, Curtis Ashford correctly guesses that Hayden is pregnant and she is also having a hard time coming to terms with being pregnant so much so that she doesn't know if she wants to be a mother. Hayden is also experiencing a lot of morning sickness.

In August, Violet's parents were supposed to get married but Hayden's ex-husband showed up and threatened her so she left town.

On September 5, Hayden wrote Finn a goodbye letter stating that there were complications with the pregnancy and the baby didn't survive, but it was later revealed that Hayden lied when she left town under the alias "Madison Ford".

Violet was born in November of 2017 in Finland on one of the coldest and longest nights of winter. According to Hayden, she came into the world fast and smiling. The nurses nicknamed Violet, "Sade" meaning light because she was such a joy. Despite the endearing nickname, Hayden named her daughter Violet because Finn's favorite flower is a violet.

Hayden asked Finn to come to Rome, intending to come clean and tell him the truth about Violet. But when he didn't show up, she assumed it was because he was already involved with Anna Devane and not wanting to complicate things in his life any further, she kept quiet. However, she was forced to come clean on October 23, 2019 when Violet was brought to the hospital due to having a fever one month after the death of Hank Archer aka "Shiloh" because she needed to wait after Shiloh is dead as well as the Dawn of Day Cult to be shut down before coming to Port Charles.

In 2019, Violet meet her maternal aunt Elizabeth Webber along with her maternal cousins Cameron Webber, Jake Webber and Aiden Webber as well as her paternal uncle Harrison Chase.

As of 2024, Violet is under the guardianship of her uncle Chase and his wife, Brook Lynn, while her father is away dealing with his addiction. Her mother's whereabouts are still unknown because she is still nowhere to be found after the death of her uncle Franco Baldwin via marriage to Elizabeth Webber who Violet had never met before he died as well the death of Austin Gatlin-Holt which remains unsolved.

Storylines[]

As Finn walks in and sees his daughter for time, he gets very emotional nearly one month after Hank Archer aka Shiloh's death as Dawn of Day was shut down because she needed wait before coming to Port Charles. When Hayden asks for a diagnosis, he refers her to another doctor as there are strict rules about parents treating their own children. Finn asks to know who Violet has been around in an attempt to figure out when and how she could have gotten sick. Hayden tells him that she rented a house in Beechers Corners where Violet had been living with her nanny and where Shiloh once lived.

After Violet's fever is under control, Finn confronts Hayden about the secret and she finally comes clean and tells him everything. After getting the full story, Finn wants to meet Violet as her father and not her doctor. Finn and Hayden enter the room together to see Violet. On October 30, Hayden tells her sister Elizabeth about her niece Violet. Elizabeth hugs Hayden and welcomes her to the "mom club." When Violet is released from the hospital, she moves in with her mom at her aunt Elizabeth's house after her uncle Franco Baldwin became Drew Cain via memory transfer as Violet will attempt to fill her uncle Franco's shoes.

On October 28, 2022; her great aunt Heather Webber came out of D'Archum Asylum to General Hospital as she came to General Hospital after the attacks from The Hook whose face and identity are concealed and is a woman leaving Violet unharmed after the armed robbery at Charlie's Pub by armed robbers Eric Watson and Harry DeFranco in April.
