Kristina Adela Corinthos-Davis is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera General Hospital. She is the daughter of mob boss, Sonny Corinthos and attorney, Alexis Davis.

Casting[]

Born onscreen on November 19, 2002, the role of Kristina was played between a doll and an infant when the character was first born. No information was ever released on the first baby playing the role.

The role was cast with Kara and Shelby Hoffman taking over as Kristina. The twins occupied the role from July 23, 2003 to late 2003.

However, they were soon recast with another pair of twins, Emma and Sarah Smith. They first appeared on December 23, 2003 and stayed on GH for a little bit under two years (the middle to the end of 2005).

Kali Rodriguez, who is most recognizable as young Kristina debuted on November 15, 2005 and left the show on August 13, 2008 as the show had plans to age Kristina to a teenager.

After much speculation and rumor as to whether Ainsworth would return to the role, several sources reported that the show was looking to bring Kristina back to Port Charles.

Finally on April 17, 2012; TVLine reported that actress Lindsey Morgan had been cast as Kristina and would make her debut on May 25, 2012.

Morgan explains during an interview that she was unaware what role she was auditioning for as only a vague character description was released instead of the character's name. The producers put Morgan through a chemistry test with her potential on-screen parents, Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), which was something that hadn't been done in years.

According to posts on Twitter by Morgan and Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis, Morgan's role as Kristina is contract.

However, on March 26, 2013; almost a year after Morgan debuted as Kristina, Lindsey announced she had been let go from the series. Morgan announced via Twitter that "my time in Port Charles has come to an end."

Morgan last appeared in the role on March 4, 2013.

During her time as Kristina, Morgan was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress in 2013.

Characterization

The vague 2012 casting call described the character as "soulful, but fiery."

New comer Lindsey Morgan describes Kristina as having the perfect blend of qualities from both of her parents.

With the 2012 recast, Kristina returns home with a "vengeance" after discovering the truth about her parents' bribing the admissions office at Yale University to get her accepted. Morgan admits that Kristina's actions may be a bit questionable at times, but she only does certain things to get those around her to be honest with her. "Even though she is basically, really, extorting them right now, she's doing it almost for an ethical reason. In the end it's to expose her father--and her mother--and say, 'Hello, this is wrong!'"

Soaps In Depth, Lindsey Morgan:

"Kristina is the perfect blend of both of her parents, She is very ethical, like her mother. She's very honest and tells how she feels about things, which I feel comes from her mother, who lays down the law. Then again, she's very much like her father because she is very stubborn and can be kind of a hot head."

On May 4, 2023; it was revealed that Kate Mansi will join the cast of GH as a recast of Kristina during the week of May 22. She first aired on May 24, 2023. Mansi is on contract.

Kate Walsh
Later on, actress Kate Walsh will be portraying as Kristina 25-30 years later in General Hospital Beyond.

Storylines[]

In February 2007; she and her brothers Michael and Morgan were scared of former Port Charles resident Jerry Jacks aka James Craig along with Diane Miller who later became Molly's babysitter, her uncle and her maternal half-sister Molly's father Ric Lansing who is the District Attorney as well as the hostage negotiator who is on the scene there as well as the other residents of Port Charles including Commissioner Mac Scorpio of the Port Charles Police Department, Mayor Garrett Floyd, and the S.W.A.T. team. The aftermath left her and her brothers traumatized, but unharmed as Mayor Garrett Floyd was being interviewed by the press about former Port Charles resident Jerry Jacks and his accomplices as they were being arrested and lawyered up except Lorenzo Alcazar who escaped the scene of the crime to avoid capture and many people sustained injures in the rubble from the explosion in the lobby. Security at Metro Court Hotel was later tightened to take more security measures. Less than three months later, Elizabeth's son Jake Spencer was born.

On January 5, 2015; Morgan visits Sonny in prison and tells him that Kristina sends her love and that she is going to set up a visit to Pentonville to see him because Head Nurse Epiphany Johnson became elated and got justice for her dead son Stan thinking that Epiphany is a hero and Sonny is a villain.

Kristina Davis in civil court

In March 2016, Kristina was in civil court in a lawsuit against Mayor Janice Lomax who violated everybody's constitutional rights including her brother Morgan who was unable to testify against her because of him being committed at Freedman Clinic leading to T.J. Ashford and Epiphany Johnson testifying on Morgan's behalf with judge James Horowitz presiding when Ric decided to take action against her with the American Civil Liberties Union after the will reading of the late Helena Cassadine weeks earlier after she and Molly were at a previous court case against Mayor Lomax in which Alexis and Olivia won earlier.

In November 2017, Kristina was at an awards ceremony to see her father Sonny be given a Medal of Valor award by Commissioner Jordan Ashford for saving everybody's lives at the Metro Court Hotel including her brother Michael's biological grandmother Monica Quartermaine against two of Cesar Faison's men who were sentenced to life in prison by Judge Natalie Rawles.

After Julian's death in December 2020, Ava finds out Julian left the pub to her and she told Alexis that Kristina would always have a job there. Julian was later replaced by Belarusian named Yuri Tamashevich a month after the death of Franco Baldwin on April 13, 2021.

On January 3, 2022; when Harmony said that she is an ex-True Believer meaning that Shiloh and the Dawn of Day Cult were True Believers; it became a tantalizing clue that Kristina Davis almost fell into the hands of the villainous group the True Believers that's a worldwide terrorist organization headquartered in Europe that's like the DVX/EuroTech 2.0 as the modern day version three years earlier before the True Believers became defunct and inactive just like the DVX after they were already rid of Nathan West, Julian Jerome, Franco Baldwin, and Jason Morgan.
