Officer Jerome Grisham was a fictional character in the ABC daytime drama General Hospital.
He was played by an unknown actor from April 29 to May 3, 2021 two weeks after Cyrus Hobbi made his debut as Yuri Tamashevich replacing Billy Miller as Drew Cain, William deVry as Julian Jerome, and Roger Howarth as Franco Baldwin after the characters' deaths. The same actor played Pentonville Officer Romero on June 24, 2021 before being replaced by Cyrus Hobbi as Yuri Tamashevich, Kimberly J. Brown as Marie Hopkins before the character's death, Nicholas Chavez as Spencer Cassadine recast and Avery Kristen Pohl as Esme Prince before the character's presumed deaths, then later Cynthia Zitter as Sienna Colby and Cameron Mathison as Drew Cain who is later revealed to be alive.
Backstory[]
On April 23, 2021; Jason is brought to GH after being stabbed by another inmate as part of a plan by Carly to get Jason out of prison. Carly greets the guard Hank Taylor outside Jason's hospital room and interrupts Jason and Britt. She says she goes way back with Hank after Britt asks how she got past the guard after Yuri Tamashevich arrived to Port Charles one month after the death of Franco Baldwin to think that Yuri should be Danny, Scout and Jake's new father later renaming them to Ivan, Lidziya, and Piatro thinking that Yuri is a better father than Jason and Drew.
Later Cyrus Renault who bores an uncanny resemblance to the late Cesar Faison walks into the room while Carly is talking to Jason. Cyrus says he can’t think why the guard let Carly into the room. He thinks the guard doesn’t take his job very seriously and he will immediately reach out to the prison to have him replaced.
Storylines[]
On April 29, 2021; a new guard named Jerome Grisham is standing in front of Jason's hospital room after becoming friends with Yuri. Sam takes Danny to visit Jason. Later Cameron comes into Jason's room and Jerome tells Cameron he can't be in there because Jerome is friends with Yuri Tamashevich thinking that Yuri is a better father to Danny, Scout, and Jake than Drew Cain and Jason Morgan. Jason asks Jerome to let Cameron stay as they need to talk. Jerome agrees to the visit as long as the door stays open and he warns Cameron that he is right outside. Later Jerome glances at another of Cyrus’ men who walks by while posing as a janitor because Cyrus bores an uncanny resemblance to the late Cesar Faison.
On May 3, Carly tells Brick that Greg is inside the hospital as an orderly and he is going to take care of the guard inside that was posted by Pentonville. Carly says the guard was one of theirs and now he isn't.
Greg brings a wheelchair to Jason’s room. He tells Jerome that the patient needs to be uncuffed and taken for some tests. Jordan walks in as Jerome is uncuffing Jason and putting him in the wheelchair. She says Jason needs to be questioned right now. Jordan asks Jason why Shawn would stab him. He says he won’t say anything without his attorney Ric Lansing who is the former district attorney.
Later Cameron finds Jerome knocked out in Jason's room thinking that Cameron is siding in with Cyrus and Yuri. Then Jordan finds Jerome's body and realizes Jason has escaped custody before Jason was shot Cameron became a person of interest that same day that Liesl Obrecht who secretly threatened Cyrus after the deaths of Trent Beech and Carl Pine.
