Storylines[]

In January 2013, Judge James Horowitz served as the judge in Lucy Coe's arraignment for attacking John McBain and in Todd Manning's trial for his involvement in the baby switch. Horowitz finds them both guilty by reason of insanity.

In March 2016, Horowitz presided over Janice Lomax's unsuccessful breastfeeding lawsuit against Olivia Quartermaine because of Janice's involvement in violating everybody's constitutional rights by having Landon Dixon with a hostage situation at the All Saints Chapel in revenge for the late Kyle Sloane and the Helena Cassadine leaving former Head Nurse Epiphany Johnson unharmed along with T.J. Ashford and also with T.J., Ric Lansing, and Epiphany Johnson testifying on Morgan Corinthos' behalf after the will reading of Helena Cassadine herself as well as the lawsuit against Mayor Lomax as James sided in with the citizens of Port Charles including Molly Lansing-Davis and Sonny Corinthos themselves as he ruled in the citizens' favor for the American Civil Liberties Union.

In June 2018, Horowitz presided over Carly Corinthos' trial after Nelle falsely accuses Carly of pushing her down the stairs after Margaux Dawson's predecessor Paul Hornsby was sent to prison for being a serial killer. Ric Lansing tells his client Carly to plead guilty and avoid jail time so she will spend time at Shadybrook Sanitarium. Carly is found guilty by reason of insanity but is remanded to Ferncliff Asylum until she is cleared by psychiatric evaluation right where Heather Webber was at before Ryan Chamberlain is revealed to be alive 23 years later.
