Sasha says that the woman with her is Gladys Corbin, her guardian and mother-in-law. Damon greets her as Gladys looks shocked. Damon says to follow him and Gladys says she had questions for him as she has important insights as Sasha's guardian. He says this visit is only for getting to know Sasha and there will be time for that later. Sasha leaves with him.

Damon says it is his job to take off some of that pressure. He is there to give his medical opinion to the court so the judge can decide if Sasha is really ready for this.

Damon says he read Sasha's file and she experienced two traumatic losses all while living in the public eye. It must have been incredibly difficult. Sasha admits it was a struggle. Damon asks her how she would characterize her relationship with her guardian. Sasha says she is grateful to Gladys. When her husband Brando Corbin died so soon after losing their son Liam Corbin she couldn't get out of bed and Gladys really stepped up for her. They may have butted heads a few times but she always knows that Gladys will have her best interests at heart. Damon wants to hear more about their butting heads.

When Sasha and Damon come back out to Gladys she asks how it went. Sasha says it was a good start and leaves. Damon thanks Gladys and also turns to leave. Gladys calls his first name and he explains that he had no idea that Sasha was her daughter-in-law. He is surprised to run into her this way. Gladys agrees it is definitely unexpected and asks will Damon need to recuse himself from Sasha's case since they know each other. Damon says why invite questions as his private life has no bearing on his work. He notes that he hasn't seen Gladys at The Savoy in a while. He asks if she will be rejoining Ms. Wu's game anytime soon. Gladys says Sasha isn't the only one trying to turn over a new leaf.

Later Damon runs into Sasha at the pool and greets her.

Sasha makes a distracting movement, allowing Cody to attack and pin Montague against the wall. Detective Dante Falconeri and PCPD Commissioner Mac Scorpio arrive and Montague claims that Cody tried to kill him.
